Why I built this
“The list is from last month. The Meursault is still on it but ran out two weeks ago. The new Sancerre isn’t on it anywhere.”
I’m Hanne Huysmans and I come from fine dining. And that is exactly why I built this app.
Taking photos of sold bottles. Forgetting to update a price when the wine got more expensive. Still forgetting to take one off the stock, and then having to tell a guest at the table that the wine they just chose isn’t there anymore. An awkward moment, for the guest and for you, and exactly the kind of moment you don’t want. Not because I wasn’t paying enough attention, but because “I’ll do it right away” sometimes gets forgotten in the middle of service.
That’s where I started building, and I kept refining until I was one hundred percent happy with it myself, in content and in look. It has to be simple, but it has to be perfect.
The result: one record per wine, from which stock, list and till follow. Your stock follows from what was sold during the last service and from the new invoices that come in. That’s why you always work with the right figures. Born in a real cellar, during service, not at a desk. And with two fixed rules: nothing changes without your approval, and whatever doesn’t add up is shown instead of quietly corrected.
